2026-2027 Preview

Jasmine Anderson, Principal

Dear CA Families,

Grace and peace to you in Christ. We pray that you and your family had a blessed and restful Easter Break, filled with time to reflect on the joy of Christ’s resurrection and the many ways He continues to work in our lives. As we return to school, we are filled with gratitude for our community and excitement for these final months of the school year, as we continue to grow, learn, and celebrate all that the Lord is doing at Concordia Academy.

We are grateful for the continued partnership we share with you as we seek to provide an excellent, Christ-centered education for your students. It is a privilege to walk alongside you in nurturing both the academic growth and spiritual development of each young person entrusted to our care.

As we look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, I’m excited to share exciting enhancements to our academics, co-curriculars, and community.

Chromebooks

As part of our ongoing efforts to support student learning, Concordia Academy will transition to a 1:1 Chromebook program beginning this upcoming school year. This means each student will be issued a Chromebook to use at school and take home daily.

We want to be clear and reassuring: this shift does not represent a change in our philosophy of education. At Concordia Academy, we remain deeply committed to a relational, Christ-centered approach to teaching and learning. Technology will never replace the essential role of our teachers, nor will it diminish the importance of personal interaction, critical thinking, or faith formation in the classroom. Textbooks are not going away. Paper and pencils will still be used. Teachers will continue to have flexibility in their teaching methodologies. This program simply provides a consistent, reliable tool to support the work that is happening each day.

One of the primary reasons for this transition is to reduce logistical challenges that many teachers and students currently face. In the past, students have needed to check out devices for use at home, which can create barriers when completing assignments, accessing materials, or staying organized. Teachers, meanwhile, needed to see if computer carts were available, check them out, and move them throughout the building. By providing each student with a dedicated Chromebook, we can streamline this process and ensure all students have reliable access to the resources they need, both in and out of the classroom. With consistent computer availability in the classroom, teachers will also be able to share resources more effectively, more closely monitor computer activity during class, and troubleshoot technical issues.

This program also allows us to continue equipping students with important skills for college, career, and life, while still grounding all that we do in our shared mission and values.

The Chromebooks will be supplied to all students in the fall without any additional fee being assessed.

Click here to view additional information regarding expectations, care, and usage of the devices, along with the necessary agreements for families to review and sign prior to distribution in the fall.

Academic Highlights for 2026-2027

We remain committed to providing engaging, supportive, and thoughtfully designed course offerings that both challenge and inspire our students. As we prepare them for an ever-changing world, we intentionally cultivate essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, and adaptability. Our goal is not only to help students grow in their areas of interest but also to equip them to think deeply, solve complex problems, and approach learning with curiosity and confidence. Through a balance of academic rigor and meaningful support, we strive to challenge each student to reach their full potential while continuing to grow in purpose and calling. With that in mind, we are excited about these enhancements to our academic program.

Online Classes

To provide greater scheduling flexibility and accommodate the highest number of course requests for each student, an online option for some courses will be introduced this year. These include both high school and college classes.  Please see our Course Catalog for a list of those offerings.

Business Cohort

Our fourth cohort is launching next year! Many CA students are interested in pursuing a career in finance, business, entrepreneurship, or related fields. To best support students in exploring this interest, we are excited to offer a business cohort starting next year. Concordia Academy’s cohorts are designed to provide students with a deeper, richer experience in academic areas related to a potential career.

Student Support

CA is committed to equipping students with the tools, guidance, and encouragement they need to thrive academically and grow into who God has called them to be. Through a variety of programs, we support students as they develop independence, explore their strengths, and build skills for future success.

One of our newest offerings is Study Lab, a dedicated academic support period that provides students with a structured environment for independent work, homework completion, and organization. With guidance from a supervising instructor, students can strengthen time management habits, prepare for assessments, and receive general academic support to help them succeed.

Peer Tutoring

We are also excited about the growth of our peer tutoring program, which includes trained student tutors in math and English.  This support is available to all students during our Academic Support Beacon Block, which occurs once per week. Specifically, students can receive help with their math homework, studying for quizzes or tests, or working on essays and writing skills for their English classes. This is all done under the supervision of faculty members.

Although work on the capstone will take place during May, senior families will receive more details about what to expect in the fall.

Enhancements to Campus Safety and Security

CHIRP-360:  24/7 Incident Reporting for the Concordia Academy Community

At Concordia Academy, we continually seek ways to care for and protect the community God has entrusted to us. Providing a safe, supportive, and Christ-centered environment is foundational to our mission, and we are always looking for thoughtful ways to strengthen that commitment.

With that in mind, we are implementing CHIRP-360, a 24/7 incident reporting system designed to enhance campus safety through proactive awareness and communication. This resource provides our community with a secure and confidential way to share concerns, helping us identify and address potential safety issues before they escalate.

It is important to emphasize that CHIRP-360 is not intended to single out or target students. Rather, it is a positive step forward in strengthening our overall campus security, focused on care, prevention, and shared responsibility. By equipping our community with an additional layer of support, we are better able to look out for one another and respond wisely to concerns as they arise.

We are grateful for the partnership we share with you in fostering a community where students feel safe, known, and supported. CHIRP-360 is simply one more way we live out that commitment together.

Go to www.concordiaacademy.com/CHIRP-360 for our dedicated CHIRP-360 page, which includes an introductory video and a button to submit an incident report.

Please see below for more information about how this program works.

What is CHIRP-360?

CHIRP-360 is a specialized incident reporting service provided by 360 Security Services (360). This platform allows for the secure collection of information related to incidents that may impact key areas of our school community. Reports are carefully reviewed and evaluated by experienced professionals who work to identify potential risks, develop proactive mitigation strategies, and, when necessary, conduct investigations.

At Concordia Academy, we are committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and Christ-centered environment for all students and families. CHIRP-360 serves as one way we care for one another by providing a secure avenue to share concerns, report suspicious activity, or communicate important safety-related information.

In any life-threatening or emergency situation, please call 911 immediately before submitting a report.

360 operates through three primary areas of focus, which includes Protection, Intelligence, and Investigations. These work together in a continuous cycle to strengthen safety efforts at Concordia Academy. Through this process, risks are evaluated across five key asset categories, known as the “CHIRP” model:

  • Cyber
  • Human
  • Information
  • Reputation
  • Physical

These areas represent where vulnerabilities may exist and where thoughtful, proactive protection is essential. 360 takes a comprehensive and holistic approach to security that is tailored to the unique needs, resources, and daily operations of Concordia Academy.

Who may use CHIRP-360?

CHIRP-360 is designed as a community-centered resource. Reports may be submitted anonymously, and access to the reporting link is available on the Concordia Academy website. While anyone may submit a concern, this tool is primarily intended for adults and students who are closely connected to the CA community.

When should CHIRP-360 be used?

Situations appropriate for CHIRP-360 reporting may include, but are not limited to:

CHIRP-360 is not a replacement for biblical conflict resolution, direct communication with teachers or administrators, or the important partnership between school and home. Rather, it is a proactive safety measure intended to help address potential concerns before they escalate.

  • Non-emergency personal threats or concerns regarding self-harm
  • Unfamiliar individuals lingering on school property
  • A vehicle remaining in the parking lot for an extended period
  • Unmarked or suspicious packages discovered on campus
  • Signs of tampering with security features (locks, doors, fencing, etc.)
  • Non-life threatening observed acts of violence
How do I submit a report through CHIRP-360?

Please use this secure reporting link to submit a concern.

Who is 360 Security Services?

360 Security Services (360) is a professional security firm composed of experienced investigators, analysts, and consultants. Their team includes individuals with backgrounds in respected federal and local agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI), the United States Secret Service (USSS), Computer Forensic Services (CFS), as well as state and local law enforcement organizations.

360 is committed to helping Concordia Academy maintain a safe and secure environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive.

Thank you for your continued support, partnership, and trust in Concordia Academy.  It is truly a blessing to work alongside you in guiding and nurturing our amazing students.  We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of their journey as they grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

As we look ahead, we are filled with excitement for another school year rooted in faith formation, enriched with challenging and engaging academics, and filled with meaningful opportunities for students to grow, connect, and discover their God-given gifts and talents.

Thank you for being such an important part of our community at CA.  We look forward to all that God has in store for the year ahead.

In Christ’s Love,

Mrs. Jasmine Anderson, M.Ed, ATC
