Spiritual Growth

The prayer of Concordia Academy is that our students’ love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, that they may be able to discern what is best and may be able to be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus — to the glory and praise of God.

(Philippians 1:9-11)

Jesus calls people into his family. This family of faith is why Concordia Academy exists. Parents, students, teachers, and administrators have come together to create a high school experience anchored in this reality of family.

This is, in part, why each CA student belongs to a Family Life Group. These groups, led by members of the senior class, meet approximately twice a month during school days. Family Life Group meetings provide an important opportunity for our students to care for one another, spend time discussing faith, enjoy fellowship, and pray for each other. As the year goes on, the relationships that form in these groups grow, strengthen, and deepen. During our Vision4Life days, these Family Life Groups participate in service projects throughout the Twin Cities in what is a highlight of the year for many of our students.

While faith weaves its way through every facet of life at CA, it’s especially evident in vibrant chapel services held on Mondays and Thursdays, daily theology classes, Vision4Life, classroom devotions, and student-led Bible studies.

When you ask your high schooler what was the best part of their day and the response is ‘Scripture,’ followed by them sharing the class discussion topic that day, you know that the choice to send your child to a Christian school has been validated.
