Tuition at Concordia Academy

All the good things you want them to have…

As the parent of a high schooler, you understand how important it is to create a safe learning environment where your teen will thrive. There are things that a Christian education can offer your student — advanced courses taught from a biblical perspective, enrichment opportunities to learn, serve, and lead — but you might be concerned about how the cost of a private school education might affect your family’s budget or lifestyle.

High school is a season of discovery as students learn who God created them to be and invest more time in developing the gifts He has given them. At this unique stage, students are greatly influenced by their peers, but still trusting of adults in their lives. As high school approaches for your teen, these questions might come to mind:

  • Is it going to align with my family’s values?
  • Is it going to offer a healthy environment where my child will thrive?
  • Will it prepare them for what’s next?

At Concordia Academy, we specialize in providing a quality, Christian high school education (and have been doing so since 1893!). But what else separates CA from other private schools in the Roseville area?

  • More than any other high school, we offer over 90 credits of college courses taught on our campus by Concordia University professors so that CA students can earn credits without sacrificing their high school experience.
  • Our STEM students are prepared to take the lead in advanced fields of science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine.
  • Students develop 21st century skills in our ICE Lab — a high-tech learning environment, built to encourage imaginative, inventive, curious, and independent thinkers.
  • Our Emerging Artists Cohort offers students in our Fine Arts program the opportunity to focus their creative energies on a visual or performing arts career goal.

As parents, you may be hesitant about the cost of private Christian education. Some of the many assumptions we hear families say are:

We don’t earn enough to send our kids here if this is the tuition.

or

We probably earn too much to receive financial aid. I doubt we would qualify.

At Concordia, financial aid is based on the need or financial status of the student’s family, the number of requests received, and the amount of financial aid funds available for a given school year. CA partners with School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial aid applications. SSS applies standardized criteria to determine to what extent each family needs assistance to pay for one year’s tuition. Concordia Academy’s financial aid committee uses information from the SSS process to allocate the amount of financial aid available.

In addition to financial aid, CA offers other options for tuition assistance, including Scholarships, Concession Parent Fundraising Programs, and hosting an International Student.

Typically, over 50% of CA’s families receive tuition assistance.

The value of our experience at Concordia Academy has been priceless for our family. The Christ-centered education, experiences, friendships, awesome teachers, staff members, and coaches’ impact have been amazing, not just for our children but for us, as parents, too!

One of the most amazing things that we found at Concordia Academy was the value of dual enrollment in both high school and PSEO at Concordia University St. Paul. Our tuition dollars were paying for both an awesome private high school education, as well as both of our oldest children’s first years of college. Yes…the first year of college done by the time they graduate!
