As a parent, you are looking for the best possible high school experience for your teen. Over these next four years, you want them to have every opportunity to get involved and feel known in their learning community as they create rich memories and healthy friendships. And you want them to have some fun!
At Concordia Academy, we want the same things. We want your child to explore their unique talents and interests and figure out what they’re good at and what they love doing. And while we firmly believe that strong academics and college prep are important, we also believe that a well-rounded education extends beyond the classroom. That’s why we offer so many valuable enrichment opportunities.
Whether your teen is a competitive athlete, a budding artist, or just interested in trying something new, we believe he or she will find a community with like-minded peers who share similar interests. We live, learn, and play together!
Service Learning
At Concordia Academy, our goal is to facilitate opportunities for your teen to develop a mission mindset. Whether they go on to become a CEO of a company or pursue one of the trades, they will live a life of impact.
While your teen is studying in our Spanish classes, we take international trips. And if they’re in the choir, they will go on tours all over the country. These opportunities will cultivate a desire to reach the hurting, the outcast, and the lost with the hope of the gospel as your teen learns to live out the great commission.
Student Leadership
On campus, every student has the opportunity to take on leadership roles in chapel and other worship-related activities. They will have the chance to tutor younger students, participate in the National Honor Society, become a Student Ambassador, do service projects, and aid teachers during study hall.
We believe in giving students the opportunity to grow in servanthood, character, and stature while pursuing their academic goals. To be a Beacon means honoring God through excellence in every capacity. We believe the high school experience should be holistic — one that has a lifelong impact.
Special Events
We believe that a healthy balance of learning and fun create an environment where your teen will thrive. Through events like our Homecoming dance, Prom, and SnoDaze, teens are encouraged to have a ball (pun intended).
Retreats & Trips
Retreats allow our students to truly step away from the classroom and focus on their relationship with God and one another. We want to help your teen develop relationships that last well beyond their high school years. If you are a freshman coming into the school, we have a retreat tailored specifically to you! And if you’re a transfer student, we offer a senior retreat as well.
Every year, our students have a three-day service and seminar program called Vision4Life, which allows our students to live out their faith in a practical way. They are given the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus as they build their faith by performing service projects throughout the Twin Cities metro area. This award-winning program retreat is the highlight of the year for most of our students and teachers.
