Where Your Teen’s Education Meets the Real World

From Classroom to Career

Think back to your own high school experience. What do you remember most? Maybe it was a class that finally clicked or a teacher who saw something in you. Maybe you remember wishing someone had helped you connect the dots between what you were learning and what you wanted to do with your life.

Now you’re watching your own teen walk through these formative years. You want them to have more clarity, more direction, more real preparation for whatever comes next. You want them to leave high school knowing how they’re gifted and how to use those gifts to serve God and others.

That’s exactly what Concordia Academy works to provide.

At CA, a private Christian high school in Roseville, MN, our students explore their passions and take part in real-world experiences that help them step confidently into the future. From hands-on learning in STEM and the arts to weekly career conversations and College on Campus, programs are built to prepare students for life with purpose.

Purposeful Academics, Every Step of the Way

Today’s world moves fast. That’s why Concordia Academy students are encouraged to think ahead, build resumes, take career interest inventories, and engage in project-based learning. They develop digital skills, learn how to manage stress, and explore topics like healthy relationships, leadership, and community engagement. In our sociology course, students even dive into local demographics and real-world issues to better understand the community around them.

This kind of preparation isn’t saved for senior year. It starts early and runs deep. In fact, through a partnership with Concordia University, St. Paul, juniors and seniors at CA can earn real college credit during the school day, taught by qualified instructors they already know and trust. Whether your teen wants to explore business, biology, or digital design, these courses give them a head start and a smooth transition into college life.

Finding the Right Fit: Pathways to Purpose

Of course, no two students are exactly alike. Some love science labs. Others light up when they’re creating music. As a parent, you want your child to find where they fit and where their talents and skills will be valued.

We help with that at CA through specialized cohort programs. Each cohort allows students to explore the areas that interest them most and discover how those interests connect to real careers:

  • In the STEM Cohort, students get hands-on experience through science fair research, technical internships, and presentations to working professionals. They solve problems, ask questions, and see what it looks like to work in fields like engineering, wildlife biology, or medicine.
  • The Emerging Artist Cohort helps creative students turn their passion into something tangible. Whether they’re preparing a gallery exhibit, performing on stage, or writing an artist statement, they learn to share their work with clarity and professionalism. Internships with publishers, studios, and theaters help students understand the full picture of a creative career.
  • For those drawn to people-centered fields, the Wholly Human Cohort explores education, ministry, law, and social work. Through community projects, service initiatives, and public speaking opportunities, students learn how to connect with the needs of the world.

You don’t have to be part of a cohort to access meaningful career guidance. We host weekly Cohort Conversations that are open to all students. Often, 50 to 60 teens gather to listen to professionals from all kinds of fields share their stories. They learn what a typical day looks like, what challenges these professionals have faced, and what advice they’d give to someone just starting out.

There’s usually time for one-on-one follow-up, and in some cases, live performances or hands-on demonstrations. This kind of regular access is rare, and it makes a difference.

New Courses, New Possibilities

The world is ever changing, so Concordia Academy adjusts its course offerings to stay current and relevant. Starting next year, we’re excited to launch several new courses, including:

  • Foundations of Leadership, where students plan and promote campus events, explore servant leadership, and help shape school culture
  • Introduction to Trades, a workshop-based class where students can try their hand at welding, woodworking, automotive work, and more
  • Digital Methods: Production & Form, a college-level design course with real-world applications
  • Introduction to Economics, an 8-week online college-level course, which introduces juniors and seniors to macroeconomic principles
  • Introduction to Sociology, also a college-level course, helps students explore how culture, politics, family dynamics, and history shape the world around them
  • Intro to Dance offers students the opportunity to explore movement and expression while building physical strength, creativity, and appreciation for the performing arts

Your teen might be an artist, a scientist, a builder, a thinker, or someone still figuring it out. Regardless, there’s a place for them here. A place to be known. A place to explore. A place to begin.

If you’re looking for an academic experience that prepares students for college, career, and calling, we invite you to discover the difference at Concordia Academy.
