Beacon Buddies

Beacon Buddies offers a variety of athletic camp options on Saturday mornings for our youngest future Beacons in 1st-4th grade. (CA also offers a BEAMS Athletics program for middle school students.)

Opportunities in 2022-2023 included soccer and basketball for girls and boys. Beacon Buddies is led by CA coaches, alumni, and our own student-athletes. These Christian coaches and mentors help participants develop athletic interests, improve fundamental athletic skills, make friends, and build community.

At Concordia Academy, we believe that discipline, teamwork, commitment, victory, and even defeat can provide rich opportunities to cultivate strong character in athletes. Our coaches are committed to this cultivation of character. This commitment is equaled only by the commitment to fully develop the athletic talents of each of our athletes. We believe that excellence in athletics honors God and blesses athletes.

Our Beacon Buddies registration system uses the same platform as our summer camps program, meaning you can use your existing login information if you have registered for CA Camps before.

Registration for our 2023-20245 Beacon Buddies program is now closed.

Beacon Buddies Soccer

Starts on September 9
Designed for beginning soccer players, CA’s Beacon Buddies soccer program matches players according to their age and ability, emphasizing the teaching and learning of basic soccer-specific skills. Instruction covers multiple topics and stresses techniques such as dribbling and foot skills, passing, shooting, and trapping. Proper athletic clothes should be worn; shin pads will be mandatory. Boys and girls are invited to bring a soccer ball and water each day. An exhibition scrimmage between players will take place at the end of the program. There will be treats with a short break each session for all players and community building for all parents! Cost: $75.

Beacon Buddies Basketball

Starts January 6
This camp focuses on fundamental skill building, teamwork, and sportsmanship. CA coaches and players offer instruction and encouragement while building confidence. Boys and girls can expect a fun, supportive environment as they learn the game and skills of basketball and develop their abilities. The camp will conclude with an opportunity to perform at halftime of the CA high school basketball game on March 1, letting students show off drills and skill work they have learned. There will also be treats for all participants! Note: The camp will take one Saturday off (January 27), meaning the camp will meet six times over a seven-week period. Cost: $75.
