Media & Technology

Concordia Academy-Roseville recognizes the value of technology as an important tool for teaching and learning. Students and teachers frequently use technology for instruction, research and multimedia presentations.

Three computer labs provide opportunities for students to use computers for research, internet resources, and learning activities. Additional computers are located in Study Hall, the Resource Room, and in all classrooms. CA has a student to computer ratio less than 4:1.

Concordia Academy recently equipped over half the classrooms with new projectors and interactive white board technology to further enhance learning. This technology provides an engaging environment for students of various learning styles.

The music department is also incorporating technology into the music curriculum. The music room and practice room computers are equipped with the current teaching programs of MakeMusic Finale, SmartMusic, and Apple LogicStudio. These programs allow students to compose music, listen to their composition, and print it in manuscript format. Music students can listen to and learn vocal and instrumental parts as they are played through the computer program. They can also record music for learning purposes or for audition requirements.

In partnership with Concordia University-St. Paul and Corporate Express, Concordia Academy-Roseville is developing a learner-centered classroom with the newest furnishings and technologies. This classroom will make use of the latest brain research to improve learning and provide data impacting future teaching and learning.
