Celebration Dinner Auction

Concordia Academy’s 13th annual Celebration Dinner Auction to raise funds for technology and financial aid was held on Saturday, November 5. At Celebrate CA 2011, 196 guests enjoyed a buffet catered by TST Creative Catering. Musical entertainment was provided by Dean Dunavan and friends in the jazz band, Cheap Therapy. There was even a surprise visit by four lads from Britain singing “Can’t Buy Me Love”.

The Silent Auction featured over 200 items for the home, for the collector and for entertainment in the community. During the Live Auction, lucky guests bid on trips to Keystone, CO, Puerta Vallarta, Mexico and labor provided by students in the Beacon Yard Crew and Beacon Cookie Crew. There was also a snowblower, a 46” Samsung SmartTV, solid gold ½ ounce coins, diamond jewelry and a week-long stay in a cabin in Wisconsin. We are still in the midst of adding everything and will report our final dollar numbers as soon as they are available.

Many thanks to everyone who helped make Celebrate CA a wonderful success! We would like to thank:

• The many generous donors at CA and the Twin Cities community
• Underwriters who helped offset our costs
• Volunteers who gave their time and talents before, during and after the event to ensure its success
• Everyone who attended the event and generously bid during the Silent and Live auctions

Please mark your calendars for next year’s event, Celebrate CA 2012, to be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012.
