Concordia Academy is excited to be offering a BEAMS Athletics program for middle school students. BEAMS stands for Beacon Elementary And Middle School, and the program is designed to offer these students opportunities for athletic growth and competition that will complement…not replace…the sports offerings at their current schools.
At Concordia Academy, we believe that discipline, teamwork, commitment, victory, and even defeat can provide rich opportunities to cultivate strong character in athletes. Our coaches are committed to this cultivation of character. This commitment is equaled only by the commitment to fully develop the athletic talents of each of our athletes. We believe that excellence in athletics honors God and blesses athletes.
Signups are now being accepted for the Concordia Academy Traveling Basketball Association. Boys and girls in 5th - 8th grades can register so it can be determined if tryouts will need to be held.
Fall sports are open to students in the appropriate grade levels from any Twin Cities area schools.
Football (7th and 8th Grade Boys)
In various forms, middle school football has been a part of Concordia Academy for over 20 years, and our BEAMS football program continues that proud tradition. Major equipment (helmet, shoulder pads) will be provided by Concordia Academy. Football is coached by Dakotah Boeck. Cost: $100.
In 2014, CA developed a traveling basketball program that operates as the Concordia Academy Basketball Association. This is recognized by the MYAS (MN Youth Athletic Services) and is open to students from King of Kings Lutheran, Central Lutheran, North Heights Christian Academy, Hand In Hand, St. John’s Little Canada, St. Mary of the Lake, and Gethsemane Lutheran. The number of teams per grade levels and per gender will be determined by interest and numbers. Practices are Mondays and Thursdays starting in early October.
